A Harvard Study found that high ejaculation frequency was linked to a decreased risk in #prostate cancer. So how many times a week is the question, well studies on men of varying ages showed 21 times a month to reduce prostate cancer risk by 20% compared to men who only managed 4-7 times a month.

Studies suggest that men who have sex at least twice a week are less likely to have a heart attack. Of course anyone with heart disease should check with their doctor first if they should be getting down and dirty.

Sex releases those feel good hormones like dopamine, endorphins, and oxytocin which helps to boost mood and mental health. I'm sure you've heard that exercise is great for anxiety, well, sex can be a great exercise too & the time it takes will keep you mind off things that are worrying you.

Most people know this to be true so its no secret that a good romp in the sack is a sure cure for insomnia. We all know how important sleep is and how sleep deprivation can turn dads into raging maniacs.

So we have to take into account not just the deed but all the things that go along with the good time act itself. Kissing has been shown to burn 68 calories per hour, while making out clocked an impressive 230 calories per half hour. A good old massage burns 80 calories per hour while oral sex burnt off a solid 100 calories per half hour. I expected more calories burnt from sex itself but 100 calories for men and 69 calories for women just make the argument that foreplay has its place in lovemaking.

If sex makes you happy than what does it do for Intimacy and bonding with a partner? Well that depends says researchers. Studies show that men who paid for sex were less happy, as were people who cheated on a spouse. What does that mean, isn't sex ultimately a bonding act between 2 souls? Sex solidifies a support network with your partner which assists you both when challenges come along. It keeps that spark glowing in the relationship. Sex refreshes feelings and romance in a relationship. It doesn't take a scientist to figure out that lack of sex or intimacy in a relationship could lead to problems for couples.
